Hey guys, today I’m going to walk you through how to find the cheapest flights from New York to Lisbon next month.
Okay, so I have my laptop here. I’m going to open up Google Flights. You can use whatever search engine you want.
I like to use Google Flights because it’s pretty user friendly.
So we’re going to go ahead and type in New York to Lisbon and we want to go for next month.
So let’s go for October. We’ll just pick a date. Let’s say October 12th to 19th. I’m flying out of New York JFK.
You can select your departure airport if you’d like. And then we’re going to go ahead and click search.
Okay, so the first thing that pops up is the Explore page.
We don’t really care about the Explore page. We’re going to click on flights. And then this is what we’re looking at.
So right now it’s showing us $834 as the lowest price.
But we know that prices fluctuate all the time. So what I like to do is set up a price alert.
So you can see right here where it says price history.
You can click on that and then you can set up a price alert. So I’m going to click track prices.
And then you can see whenever the price drops or increases, you’ll be notified.
So in this case, it’s showing us that the cheapest day to fly from New York to Lisbon next month is actually October.
So that’s a little over a week from now. And then it’s showing us the prices fluctuate between 800 and 1100 dollars.
And you can kind of get an idea of the average price is around 900 dollars.
So based on this data, we could probably expect the price to go down a little bit more.
So I would keep an eye on it, especially if you’re getting notifications that the price has dropped.
Another thing you can do is filter your search.
So if you click on filters, you can filter by airline, by stops, by departure time, arrival time, and also by price range.
So if we click on price range and then we select low to high, it’s going to show us the cheapest flights first.
And then you can see the price range is pretty big from 834 to 1600 dollars.
So again, we can expect the price to fluctuate within that range. But these are all direct flights from New York to Lisbon.
If you wanted to see what indirect flights are, you can click on the three dots.
And then click on more options and then under flight type, you can select indirect flights. And then it’s going to show you connecting flights.
And these are usually cheaper. You can click on the airline to see what that flight looks like. So that one’s with United and Lufthansa.
So you’d have a layover in Germany. So it’s going to take longer. It’s going to be a longer travel time.
You’d have to check your bag most likely. So these are going to be cheaper. And you can see this Delta one is only 570 dollars.
So definitely much cheaper than the direct flights. But again, it depends on your travel style and how much you’re willing to spend.
Alright guys, so that is how you find the cheapest flights from New York to Lisbon next month. I hope this was helpful.
Make sure to follow for more travel tips and hacks and I’ll see you guys next time. Bye.
